While I Wasn\u2019t Listening, God Was, Sending Light Into My Summer-Winter<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deuteronomy 9:26<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I prayed to the Lord and said, \u2018Lord God, do not destroy the people who are your very own possession, whom you redeemed in your greatness, whom you brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romans 8:32<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Words of Grace For Today<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trusting that God listens is huge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It means we recognize through history how God has helped people, and in our lifetimes, us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we can turn to God and trust that God listens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doesn\u2019t matter what we say really.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Jeremiah knew<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O, God, you know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God knows everything, even before we say anything, or even think a thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So why bother God?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, it helps to unload.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always it helps to recognize who made us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

who saves and redeems us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

who renews our life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and who is always there for us, loving us even when we screw up big time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for those who cannot trust God, one has to wonder how they get by … until one recognizes the mess the world is in, which in large part is their part of trying desperately to make it right for themselves before it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That always leads to shtako, big time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As God has done for people in the past, God does for people now, and will in the future, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

we are some of those people,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
