When the Foundations Dissolve Beneath Us,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

May We Have Loved Ones,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Made Solid With God\u2019s Love.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaiah 33:24<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And no inhabitant will say, \u2018I am sick\u2019; the people who live there will be forgiven their iniquity.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revelation 1:17-18<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he placed his right hand on me, saying, \u2018Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living one. I was dead, and see, I am alive for ever and ever; and I have the keys of Death and of Hades.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Words of Grace For Today<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earthquakes take most everything we take for granted and undo it. Gravity rapidly oscillates, solid ground becomes liquid, protection over our heads become threats to our survival, …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are we to do?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In life, there are more things like earthquakes than we wish to admit. More things change the very foundation of life for us. Evil has free run at the foundations of life we create for ourselves, even those who we love can turn against us without warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are we to do?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Isaiah we turn to God, when the world under us seems to flow away, and we pray: We must be sick! Save us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only God can reach out to us, and assure us that life is solidly grounded in Jesus\u2019 love for us, love that is not selfish or guile or facile. Even death cannot shake God\u2019s love for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is our solid foundation, upon which our love, hope, and breath rely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
