It May Have Seemed A Good Idea,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Then We Find Ourselves Out on a Limb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

of A Tree<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ready to Tip Into the Waters<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

of Death!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Chronicles 18:13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Micaiah said, \u2018As the Lord lives, whatever my God says, that I will speak.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Timothy 4:2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favourable or unfavourable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Words of Grace For Today<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proclaiming the Good News ought, it seems, to be a wonderful experience,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

but<\/p>\n\n\n\n

humans don\u2019t like to have their \u2018apple carts upset\u2019, \u2018their cheese moved\u2019, \u2018their boat rocked\u2019!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surprise surprise<\/p>\n\n\n\n

not!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most often the Good News messenger is \u2018shot\u2019, vary rarely with a camera,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or hung<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or burned at the stake<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or buried alive<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or crucified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So do we really want to follow Jesus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, to whom else shall we turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For only Jesus has the message that brings life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

true life to all who hear and follow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a rather humbling path<\/p>\n\n\n\n

of service to God\u2019s will<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in service to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019ll take all the patience we can muster to face down the opposition and derision others will throw at us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

but God walks with us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and there is no greater blessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
