Seeking,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

and Being Found.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surprise!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Samuel 3:18<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So Samuel told Eli everything and hid nothing from him. Then he said, \u2018It is the Lord; let him do what seems good to him.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Words of Grace for Today –<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

while mystics hear, see, smell, and feel God, and know<\/strong> it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of us get surprised over and over again<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(if we pay any attention at all<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to how God is present in our mundane lives)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

how God shows up<\/p>\n\n\n\n

like when God called to the boy Samuel, and he thought the priest Eli who raised him as a son was calling for him<\/p>\n\n\n\n

like the disciples on the road to Emmaus<\/p>\n\n\n\n

when Jesus shows up to walk with them after his resurrection<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and opens to them the meaning of the old scriptures and his death and resurrection and then asks them to join him for breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you ready to encounter God today?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least be open to the possibility?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
