Acts of the Apostles 2:46-47<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nDay by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. Words of Grace for Today –<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gathering Together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A mess of humanity getting together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Singing and praising God, sharing the meal with all with grateful hearts and active minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of course the \u2018adding to our numbers\u2019 has long since not been in the works. We\u2019ve been bleeding people for decades now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So the great congregation is no longer so great, just 2 or 3 gathering, maybe a dozen or so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the best are the blessed ones who can live joyfully in the solitude of a hermitage with the basics all in place, able to give God praise with readings and songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Most of the faithful can still gather, one way or another, to share a meal (and diseases rampant), sing and praise God, and be grateful for all God provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mess of humanity, as God knew we\u2019d be, living out the promises of God,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
