I prayed, God give me a billion dollars. (It used to be for a million but with inflation, well you know….)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nGod answered, \u201cIn a minute.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nNothing happened. I\u2019m still as poor as ever. So I asked a wise person why God did not follow through with God\u2019s good promise.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe wise person said, \u201cGod will in God\u2019s good time. For God a billion years is like a minute, and a minute is like a billion years. In a billion years your billion dollars will be yours in heaven. It\u2019ll be worth a dime today, and worthless in heaven. God always keeps God\u2019s promises.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh, it\u2019d be great, wouldn\u2019t it, to be great<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With riches and honours beyond number!?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God calls us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
not to make ourselves great,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
not in anyway,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but rather to serve others<\/p>\n\n\n\n
so that even the poorest<\/p>\n\n\n\n
have the basics of life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
blessed life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
life abundant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That can cost us everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It did Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It did numerous saints who have gone before us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will us<\/p>\n\n\n\n
if we serve Jesus, by humbly serving others, as the Spirit guides and equips us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
