here and now.<\/h3>\n\n\n

Like Grass, We Dry Up,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Die,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

except Jesus brings the Water of Life<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeremiah 8:21-22<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the hurt of my poor people I am hurt,
I mourn, and dismay has taken hold of me.
Is there no balm in Gilead?
Is there no physician there?
Why then has the health of my poor people
not been restored?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke 19:9-10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then Jesus said to Zacchaeus, \u201cToday salvation has come to this house, because you too are a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Words of Grace for Today –<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always we humans have had cause to cry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is there no balm in Gilead,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

pleading really, is there no balm here for us and all these people in our time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So much illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So much injustice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So much loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So much sorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So much death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So much grief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To these cries, God answers with Jesus, living among us, a human, who will heal many, teach with great wisdom, and sacrifice his own life that all people may live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do not need so seek Jesus out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Jesus came to seek out and to save the lost,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

which is all of us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

whether we know it or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a balm in Gilead,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and here and now,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for our every ill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a life Jesus offers us, to fully live, healed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and then sent to share the Good News<\/p>\n\n\n\n

that God is for us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for us all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
