So many people live knowing the price of everything and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the value of nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thus the greatest things are squandered<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to gain the things that reap profits for the few<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and rob life from the poor<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and breath from the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How could God get our attention<\/p>\n\n\n\n
other than to come to live among us in poverty, to heal and teach and save, and then to willingly die a horrible death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are we listening?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are we listening as Jesus cries his last?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are we listening as Job celebrates, amidst his great suffering, all that God has given him?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are we listening today<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to the rush<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to the stillness<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to the hurry<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to the quiet<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to life as we live it<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and life as God intended us to live<\/p>\n\n\n\n
quiet amidst the hurry<\/p>\n\n\n\n
still amidst the rush<\/p>\n\n\n\n
open amidst the condemnations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
loving amidst the hate<\/p>\n\n\n\n
