So many people live knowing the price of everything and
the value of nothing.
Thus the greatest things are squandered
to gain the things that reap profits for the few
and rob life from the poor
and breath from the planet.

How could God get our attention
other than to come to live among us in poverty, to heal and teach and save, and then to willingly die a horrible death.
…
Are we listening?!
Are we listening as Jesus cries his last?
Are we listening as Job celebrates, amidst his great suffering, all that God has given him?
Are we listening today
to the rush
to the stillness
to the hurry
to the quiet
to life as we live it
and life as God intended us to live
quiet amidst the hurry
still amidst the rush
open amidst the condemnations
loving amidst the hate
at peace amidst the conflicts!
